Massive rune-etched walls surround crowded streets, narrow alleys, bustling markets, armored guards, and towering stone buildings. The brilliant white Tower rises above everything, visible from nearly anywhere in the city. The air carries the competing smells of fresh bread, sizzling meat, candied nuts, wet stone, leather, ink, and cheap soap, creating a powerful but uneasy atmosphere.
